To help muscle repair, take a serving of protein powder mixed with some water or milk/milk substitute after your exercise sessions in the gym. If you are planning on hitting the gym, and considering you are reading this, there is a good chance for that, you will want to keep an eye out for your protein intake, before, during and after the race. Make sure you rest enough before the race – nothing can reproduce the effects of a good night sleep – and that you don't tire your body out with bad diet in the upcoming weeks.
